  1. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
  2.   A collection to 18 modules as tools for analyzing financial investments
  3.   involving time and money.  See VENDINFO.DIZ  or the program manual,
  4.   WINIFN.WRI for more details.

  6. INSTALLAION
  7.   Copy the following files to any directory of your choice:
  8.     WINFIN.EXE
  9.     WINFIN.WRI
  10.     README.TXT
  11.  
  12.   Copy ALL other *.DLL, *.VBX and *.EXE files to your
  13.   \Windows\System directory.
  14.  
  15.   If the file VBRUN300.DLL is not included and you do not already have
  16.   this file in your Windows\System directory, you will need to download
  17.   it from a BBS.  Look for VBRUN3.Zip, etc
  18.  
  19. RUNNING PROGRAM
  20.   To use the program, from File Manager, double click on WINFIN.EXE
  21.   or add WinFin.EXE as a Program Item to a Program Group.

  23.   PLEASE take the time to printout, or at least read, the WINFIN.WRI
  24.   file.  These are the instructions for the program.

  26. PROBLEMS
  27.   This program was written using the most current version of MicroSoft's
  28.   Visual Basic 3.0.  All of the DLL and VBX files are provided by
  29.   MicroSoft.  Each one relates to a special feature incorportated into
  30.   the program such as graphics, grids, 3D controls, etc.  They are the
  31.   most current versions available.

  33.   If you experience a problem trying to run FINANCIAL ANALYSIS FOR
  34.   WINDOWS, it is probably due to your having older versions of these
  35.   supporting files elsewhere on your hard disk, which are used by earlier
  36.   versions of Visual Basic.  For example, you may get an error message
  37.   saying you are using an old version of COMMDLG.DLL.  The reason is that
  38.   when WINFIN.EXE loads, it looks for COMMDLG.DLL.  If you have an old
  39.   version in your \windows directory and a new version in your
  40.   \windows\system directory, the program will use the first one it comes
  41.   across in your path.  The cure for this problem is to do a file search
  42.   for the file named as causing the problem.  You may be surprised to
  43.   find the same file name in 2 or 3 different locations.  The only one
  44.   you want is the the most current one and it should be placed in your
  45.   \windows\system directory.  Rename the other copies to something like
  46.   COMMDLG.OLD.  When you do this you may get another error notice that
  47.   the file is in use and cannot be renamed or deleted.  If this happens,
  48.   simply exit windows and you may even have to reboot.  You may have to
  49.   rename or delete the file from DOS.  Remember, you want the most
  50.   current versions in \windows\system.

  52. REGISTRATION
